Old San Juan
For the perfect mix of charming European architecture and Latin flair, head to Viejo San Juan, AKA Old San Juan. With cute coffee shops and cafes with reliable wifi, Old San Juan is a great spot for Puerto Rico digital nomads. Not to mention, there are endless bars and restaurants for nightlife lovers and foodies. Plus, two of San Juan’s biggest attractions–Castillo San Cristobal and Castillo San Felipe del Morro–are located in the neighborhood.
Ocean Park
Ocean Park is a beachfront neighborhood in the municipality of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This is a safe, local neighborhood with small markets, cafes and restaurants. The beach here is calm, perfect for kayaking, SUP and swimming. This is also where you can find Outsite Puerto Rico.
Santurce
Santurce is another neighborhood in San Juan, not too far from Old San Juan. The neighborhood has been coined “The Brooklyn” of San Juan due to its plentiful street art and hipster vibes. On and around Calle Loiza you can find a variety of restaurants, bars, and shopping spots (and of course plenty of street art). La Placita, a favorite of locals and tourists alike, is also located in Santurce. It’s a little plaza with multiple bars. On weekend nights, the bars are crowded, and people are always dancing and hanging out on the streets making it easy to bar hop.
Rincon
Rincon is a popular beach town on the west coast of the island. The vibe is more laid back than in bustling San Juan, and the waves here are arguably the best on the island. If you’re big on surfing, head to Rincon in the winter when the waves are much bigger. The water tends to get a little flat in the summer. Rincon is also a good spot for Puerto Rico digital nomads who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving.
Luquillo
If you want to balance your hard work with a lot of beach bumming and water sports, Luquillo is perfect for you. At Luquillo beach, you will find some of the calmest waters on the island, and no shortage of shade under palm trees. You can sunbathe, kayak, paddleboard, jet ski, and more in the perfect water. Plus, there are loads of kiosks, known as kioskos de Luquillo. Here you will find tons of beachside (and roadside) restaurants and bars. Staying in Luquillo, you’ll also be close to El Yunque national forest, a must see for Puerto Rico digital nomads.
Ponce
Ponce is the second biggest city after San Juan, but it has a very different vibe. Stay in this city if you want to feel like you’ve stepped back in time, strolling around and checking out the Spanish colonial architecture. Some of Puerto Rico’s best museums are in Ponce, including Museo de Arte de Ponce, which is considered one of the best art museums in the Caribbean! Ponce is also a great place to stay if you want to venture inland to check out coffee plantations like Hacienda Buena Vista. It’s also the closest city to the beautiful nature reserve island Isla de Caja de Muertos.
Cabo Rojo
Cabo Rojo is a bit of a hidden gem and perfect for Puerto Rico digital nomads who want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Here, it's easy to find remote beaches and get away from tourists. Playa Sucia is a must visit usually quiet beach great for swimming. Cabo Rojo is also home to unique salt flats that are worth visiting. Another bonus of Cabo Rojo is its relative proximity to Isla de la Mona, which is known as the Galapagos of the Caribbean.

Best beaches in Puerto Rico
Condado
Nestled among high rise hotels and resorts, this beach is especially good for water sports. Take note that the tide can often be too strong for novice swimmers.
Ocean Park
Also known as "Punta Las Marias Beach”, this beach is one of the most popular in Puerto Rico's metropolitan area. You'll find sun bathers and water sports lovers alike.
Isla Verde
This tropical beach is situated right in the heard of San Juan. It's divided into three smaller beaches: Pine Grove (great for surfing), Alambique, and Balneario de Carolina. lined with palm trees, hotels, restaurants, and shops.
Luquillo Beach
A beautiful beach with extremely calm and blue water. Nearby, you'll find a strip of bars and restaurants.
Vieques Island
a small island off the east coast with plenty of pristine beaches. One of its claims to fame is its bioluminescent bay, Mosquito Bay. You can take a short flight there or a few hour long ferry ride.
Culebra
Also an island off the coast, Culebra is home to Flamenco Beach, named one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

As the name implies, this is a great place to find clean and healthy food items, as well as natural products, and supplements. There are multiple locations throughout the island.

You'll find SuperMax located throughout Puerto Rico, with many of their locations open 24 hours. Shop in store or order groceries off the app to pickup in store.
Getting Around Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico's two main airports are San Juan International Airport (SJU) and Rafael Hernandez Airport (BQN), in Aguadilla. If you’re flying internationally, you'll most likely be flying into one of these two airports.
If you're staying in San Juan, you'll find getting around fairly simple. With taxis and Ubers readily available, a car won't be necessary. Públicos, or public buses are also available and very affordable.
For extensive travel around Puerto Rico, a rental car is suggested as público service isn't as reliable outside of the city.
